Jackie Mercandetti is a Phoenix based photographer whose editorial and commercial work focuses on people and still life.
Jackie's interest in photography began at age 11 and some of her earliest works include photographing her little sister and family members at home. She decided to turn her hobby of taking pictures into a profession. Originally from Brooklyn, Jackie studied photography in New York and was fortunate to find an assistant position with an internationally acclaimed still life photographer in New York City.
Her work has been featured in various media outlets, including Dynamo Industries, Spectra, American Academy of Physician Assistants Arizona Business Magazine, Arizona Foothills Magazine, Barrow Magazine, The Intelligence Report, Phoenix Magazine, the Phoenix New Times, Boston Magazine, Valley Guide, Black, Starr and Frost, Vitamin G Creative and Anchorage Press.
Jackie's photographic talent allows her to capture a beauty and realness not easily expressed by words. Her images, she hopes, will evoke feelings of a sense of place and the uniqueness of her subject's character. Jackie envisions her photographs as unfolding a stories that allows the viewers to connect to her subject as if they were there in person.
